Qian Kou Residence

Qian Kou Residence is Located in the Huizhou District, also named Zixia Mountain Villa. It covers an area of 16,000 square meters and centralizes 10 representative buildings of the Ming dynasty scattered in Huizhou. Known as the "Museum of Dwelling Houses of Ming in Qiankou", it remains the original style feature both architecturally and culturally.

Those constructions of Ming Dynasty was moved here from other villages, and restored in the way they used to be. The move and restoration work began in 1984, and in 1999 it opened to the public. The complex is a collection of an arch bridge, a curb pavilion, a clan memorial archway, three ancestral temples and many dwelling houses, and in accordance with their original structures and appearances. One architectural expert has said that to visit imperial palaces, you should go to Beijing; whereas to see old residences, you should go to Qian Kou. Really like this!
