We had a really good day, and enjoyed the tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. For me, the best part of the day was actually when we took a open sided car and drove around the countryside around Yangshou. It might be worth incorporating this into the tour? My only negative feedback was the food on the boat wasn’t great, although I know that your company don’t manage the boat directly. I don’t know if there are any boats that don’t have food, as it might be worth not eating, and letting people eat in the town when they arrive?

Anyway, in general the day was great. We all really enjoyed it.

We loved every part of it and must compliment you on your wonderful organization, excellent guides and drivers and how smoothly everything went. I cannot thank you enough for all of your coordination for our trip in Guilin. Mandy and I thoroughly enjoyed Alex Guan, tour guide, and Mr. Jong (the driver). Alex also has a good command of the English language and a good sense of humor. Alex was very attentive, punctual and could easily resolve whatever issue we brought up. I would highly recommend Alex for any tour. He wondered why he wasn’t our guide on Monday at the orphanage and I told him that for some reason a Linn from BLAS got involved for that arrangement and I thought she was with the government in order to get us into the orphanage. Alex told us to call him if there were any problems.

Our guide speak wonderful English, he's very kind, helpful and extremely polite, we have fond memories of him as our guide in Guilin. The Aroma Tea House is very beautiful by the lake,we really enjoy it.Anyway, we had so much fun on this trip!!

Thank you very much for such a nice trip. Please see our comments below: The distribution of the time was fairly done, Meals were excellent in general. All guides were knowledgeable of the place and able to answer our questions. The best one was Sarah in Beijing and Ruth in Xian. All guides versed in English. All drivers were fairly good. The hotels were very nice and excellent breakfast.

We heard of Alex through friends who had used him before. He organised an interesting two-week itinerary for us, combining traditional tourist attractions with some more individual activities. If you can, visit the Panda Breeding institute in Chengdu and the highlight of our tour was a home stay in an apartment with probably the finest rooftop views in Guilin. The three star hotels were all in perfect locations and far better facilities than we expected - apart from some of the breakfasts which can be an acquired taste. Our guides all spoke very good English and went out of their way to show us round street markets or recommend restaurants (A Sichuan Hotpot is a great experience). Using travel agents in another country can be a risk, but China Expedition Tours combined high levels of professionalism with great value for money. Many thanks to Alex and Team!
