If you want to go faster, you can ride a taxi or Didi (¥150-200, 40 minutes).By High-Speed Rail: Qingdao North Railway Station and Qingdao Railway Station are connected to other major cities such as Beijing (4.5 hours, ¥320), Shanghai (6 hours, ¥400), and Jinan (1.5 hours, ¥80). Both stations are linked to the metro, making it very convenient to get to your hotel.
Locally in Qingdao, the subway network (including Lines 1, 2, 3, 8, etc.) connects all major sights: Old Town through to Shilaoren Beach. Prices are reasonable (¥2-6), and the subway spares you from notorious road congestion in the city. Taxis or Didi are easily available for shorter journeys, at an initial price of ¥10. Bicycles for shared or rent are ideal for traversing the Badaguan section and the promenade.
