By Air
Meilan International Airport, only 18 kilometers from Haikou, is one of the top eights in China as one of the important hubs both in the south and in the country. They connect 88 domestic and 21 foreign airlines of the main cities in China and Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia and other countries together with Phenix Airport.

By Boat
Because the city is located on the coastline, facing the sea, Haikou has developed many harbors along the coast forming a network of waterway in transportation. Ports in Haikou include Xiuying Port and Xingang Port. These ports link Haikou to Xuwen, Zhanjiang, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, and other towns and cities in Guangdong, Guangxi, etc.

The railway system has been developed very well in the city. Thousands of passengers travel from Haikou to all the important cities in China every day.
