Climate and Weather

Influenced by the East Asian monsoon, Xi'an has a temperate continental climate, with moderate rainfall and four distinct seasons. Spring and autumn are short and dry but they are the best time for travelers to visit Xi'an. Snow occasionally falls in winter but rarely settles for long. The thunderstorms in summer are frequent but short. January is the coldest month with an average temperate of -0.5℃~1.3℃, while the average temperature of July ranges from 26.3℃ to 27℃.

Chang'an International Calligraphy Annual Convention

Main Programs: Tang-style autograph ceremony at Yanta, exhibition of calligraphy pieces through the ages, arts exchanges between Chinese and foreign calligraphers, sales exhibition of the Four Treasures of the Study, calligraphy theory discussion forum, visiting forest of steles and 13 calligraphic stone carvings at Shimen, etc.
